Take a Photograph Every Day: Day 10

I decided this year that I would grow my purple beans in between each corn seedling, thinking that the corn would grow nice and tall, and the beans could lean on them, while fixing the nitrogen into the soil. Well... the corn didn't grow as quickly as I thought, and the beans are rather... vigorous. I'm hoping they don't choke the corn, but I suppose the plants will have to fight it out themselves. That's what I get for pitting legumes against large stalks!
